q   Roe will provide a unique `low-impact' mobile residential centre in the outdoors, enabling people to meet their needs creatively and engage with training programmes in relation to the immediate environment.

Roe serves a variety of communities through the following core objectives

  • Provide all the basic accoutrements for a self-reliant standing camp in the UK climate using low impact structures and appropriate technology.
  • Offer tailor-made outdoor experiences to a variety of agencies that support young people.
  • Encourage rural sustainability through the employment of skilled rural workers and other outdoor practitioners, and through recognising emergent properties of the outdoor craft process.
  • Provide Forest School service to young people through school and other agencies
  • Provide a venue for collaborating groups, agencies and celebratory events. Research and offer development training opportunities to a variety of different sectors and special interest groups
  • Promote our services, bolster support and increase revenue through a trading arm offering workshops and impeccable hospitality at outdoor events and trade fairs.
  • Work towards partnerships with local landowners/agencies in offering regeneration work over specified periods.
